About this paper

The first GK360 model paper, built under the model-paper directive for a body with no past papers on the site. The SPSC CCE screening test carries 200 marks (the passing score of 66 marks is 33 percent of 200, per SPSC Advertisement No. 06/2026 dated 23-10-2026, which also sets negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer; total marks per Advertisement No. 04/2026 dated 19-08-2026 — both read on spsc.gov.pk). SPSC’s screening syllabus divides the paper into five equal sections — English, Current Affairs, Pakistan Affairs, General Ability and Everyday Science — so this model paper carries 40 questions per section, 200 in total. SPSC has fixed the CCE-2026 screening test for Saturday 28 November 2026 (public notice PSC/EXAM(C.S)/2026/241, 26-10-2026). All 200 questions are drawn unchanged from the verified GK360 bank — solved PPSC, FPSC, PMS and CSS papers and the monthly current-affairs bank, mostly 2025–2026 — with their verified answers and explanations; nothing is authored. The Pakistan Affairs section includes 8 genuine Sindh items found in the bank. Duration reference: the CCE-2025 screening timetable allowed 200 minutes for 200 questions (SPSC timetable as reported by pakera.pk); the CCE-2026 timetable was not yet published when this paper was built.

D

None of these

View answer & explanation Ans: 1

Correct Answer: 1

Using a^2 - b^2 = (a-b)(a+b): (7.8^2 - 1.9^2)/(9.5 x 5.7) = (7.8-1.9)(7.8+1.9)/(9.5 x 5.7) = (5.9)(9.7)/(9.5 x 5.7), which the book's solution gives as 1.

Q 129 Mathematics Algebra

Susie buys 2 pieces of salmon, each weighing x pounds, and 1 piece of trout, weighing y pounds, where x and y are integers. The salmon cost 3.50 dollars per pound and the trout cost 5 dollars per pound. If the total cost of the fish was 77 dollars, which of the following could be the value of y?

A

4

B

7

C

5

D

6

View answer & explanation Ans: 7

Correct Answer: 7

Cost equation: 2x(3.50) + y(5) = 77, i.e. 7x + 5y = 77. Trying values: y = 7 gives 7x = 42, so x = 6 (integer), which works.

Q 130 Mathematics Algebra

If the difference of two numbers is 6 and the difference of their squares is 168, the numbers are:

A

18 and 12

B

17 and 11

C

16 and 10

D

15 and 9

View answer & explanation Ans: 17 and 11

Correct Answer: 17 and 11

Let the numbers be x and y: x - y = 6 and x^2 - y^2 = (x - y)(x + y) = 168, so x + y = 28; solving gives x = 17 and y = 11.

Paper practice FAQs

Is this an official SPSC CCE past paper? +

No. This is a GK360 model paper: 200 questions taken from verified, solved PPSC, FPSC, PMS and CSS papers in the GK360 bank and arranged to match the official SPSC CCE screening pattern. It is published for pattern practice and is clearly not an official SPSC past paper.

What is the pattern of the SPSC CCE screening test? +

The screening test carries 200 marks. SPSC’s screening syllabus divides it into five equal sections: English, Current Affairs, Pakistan Affairs, General Ability and Everyday Science. Under Advertisement No. 06/2026 (23-10-2026) the passing score is 33 percent (66 of 200 marks) and each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks. SPSC has scheduled the CCE-2026 screening test for Saturday 28 November 2026.

Where do the questions in this model paper come from? +

Every question is copied unchanged from the GK360 verified question bank — real PPSC, FPSC, PMS and CSS papers and the monthly current-affairs bank, mostly from 2025–2026 — with its verified answer and explanation. No question or answer has been written for this paper; the Pakistan Affairs section includes 8 Sindh items that genuinely appear in those papers.

How should I attempt this SPSC CCE model paper? +

Attempt all 200 questions in one timed sitting, then review every explanation — including the ones you got right. For reference, the CCE-2025 screening allowed 200 minutes for 200 questions. Because the real test now deducts 0.25 marks per wrong answer, practise leaving a question blank when you have no basis for an answer.
