About this paper

The English section of the Sir Adnan booklet 'CSS MPT PAST PAPERS - MCQs (FPSC NEW TREND 2025-26)' (monster-data 'CSS MPT PAST PAPERS' pack). The booklet prints 50 English items with (a)-(d) options; its marked answers are set in bold in the PDF, so they were read visually (the text layer does not preserve the bolding) and every answer was reconciled to standard grammar and vocabulary. 48 items are published; printed Q10 and Q30 are dropped (see FAQ). The year 2026 is the booklet's 'NEW TREND 2025-26' label, not a claimed exam session, and this file is a section of a commercial compilation, never an official past paper.

Questions

Paper practice FAQs

Is this an official CSS MPT past paper? +

No. It is the English section of a Sir Adnan commercial booklet titled 'CSS MPT PAST PAPERS'. It is published as a section, never as a full paper or an official past paper; the booklet's Islamiat section was published separately (overlapping the already-published 2026 mock) and its Urdu section was published separately.

Why are only 48 of the 50 printed items published? +

Printed Q10 (opposite of Ancient) is dropped: both 'Modern' and 'Contemporary' are defensible antonyms among the options, so no single standard answer is identifiable - the booklet's bold mark picks Contemporary, but Modern is the usual one-liner answer. Printed Q30 ('Honesty is the best policy. The underlined word is -') is dropped: no word is underlined in the print, even at 300 dpi, so the tested word cannot be identified.

How were the booklet's answers read, since there is no answer key? +

The booklet marks its answers in bold type in the PDF. An earlier text-layer survey therefore misreported the section as key-less; the bold key was read visually page by page for this conversion, and every bold answer was then checked against standard grammar and vocabulary - all 48 published answers agree with the standard answer.

Which topics does the section cover? +

Vocabulary synonyms and antonyms, spelling, grammar (articles, prepositions, tense, subject-verb agreement, reported speech, passive voice), parts of speech, and idioms including 'turn a deaf ear', 'break the ice', 'bury the hatchet', 'cut to the chase', 'make both ends meet' and 'beat about the bush'.
