About this paper

A 45-item General Abilities practice booklet by Sir Adnan (monster-data 'CSS MPT PAST PAPERS' pack), set out in the MPT pattern: Section A Basic Arithmetic, Algebra & Geometry (25 marks, Q1-25), Section B Logical & Analytical Reasoning (20 marks, Q26-35) and Section C Mental Ability (15 marks, Q36-45). 42 items are published with verified answers and explanations; 3 were dropped as unanswerable as printed and never inferred: printed Q22 (2(3x-4)=8 gives x=8/3, absent from the options 3/4/5/6, and the booklet's own working 'x=4/3' is also wrong and absent), printed Q30 (the mirror image of 'PQ6' is printed as '9dQ' with a garbled note and cannot be identified uniquely from the text layer), and printed Q37 ('which number is divisible by 9?' has two correct options, 2430 and 2421, both digit-sum 9). Two printed answers were corrected to the standard answer and flagged in keyFlag: printed Q42 (son's age is 5, not the booklet's 10 — 4x+10=2(x+10) gives 2x=10, x=5) and printed Q44 (the 5th letter of PAKISTAN alphabetically is N, not the booklet's S — its sorted order wrongly puts S before N). Four items print a duplicated option (Q3, Q4, Q5, Q32), flagged in keyFlag. Seven items print the answer only, so their distractors are authored under Anas's 2026-10-28 single-format decision and optionsSource is recorded as 'mixed'. This is a practice booklet, NEVER an official past paper: the booklet header is 'CSS MPT MATH MCQs (PPSC/FPSC NEW TREND 2025-26)' with no exam session, so the year 2026 is the booklet's trend year, not a claimed exam session.

Questions

Paper practice FAQs

Is this an official CSS MPT past paper? +

No. This is a Sir Adnan practice booklet in the MPT General Abilities pattern (60 marks across arithmetic/algebra/geometry, logical reasoning and mental ability). It is labelled as practice in the title, slug and paperType, and its year 2026 is the booklet's 'NEW TREND 2025-26' label, not a claimed exam session.

How many questions are published, and why are 3 missing? +

42 of the booklet's 45 printed items are published. Printed Q22 (2(3x-4)=8 gives x=8/3, which is not among the options), printed Q30 (the mirror image of 'PQ6' cannot be identified uniquely from the booklet's garbled note) and printed Q37 (both 2430 and 2421 are divisible by 9, so there is no single answer) were dropped as unanswerable as printed and never inferred; printedNo is retained so the numbering matches the booklet.

Were any booklet answers corrected? +

Yes, two, both flagged in keyFlag. The son's age in Q42 is 5 years, not the booklet's 10 (4x+10=2(x+10) gives 2x=10, x=5); and the 5th letter of PAKISTAN in alphabetical order in Q44 is N, not the booklet's S (its sorted order wrongly puts S before N). Four duplicate-option items (Q3, Q4, Q5, Q32) are also flagged.

Some items had no options in the booklet — why do they have four options here? +

Seven items (Q26, Q28, Q35, Q40, Q41, Q42, Q44) print the answer only, with no (a)-(d) options. Under Anas's 2026-10-28 single-format decision they are published in the standard MCQ format with authored distractors; optionsSource is recorded as 'mixed' so authored distractors are never mistaken for the booklet's, and each such item notes it in keyFlag.
